They are very durable and can carry heavy loads without much difficulty. Flat boxes are commonly used in shipping containers and containers for transporting different kinds of goods. The compression test is a test which is Box Compression Tester used to check the strength of corrugated boxes or cartons and measure its capacity to withstand loads.
We will now discuss the different types of compression tests. One is the cylinder test. It is carried out under the following conditions.
A cylinder is made of cardboard, wood or plastic. Its dimensions are determined by standard specifications. The test machine is a hydraulic one. This type of testing machine has a steel cylinder which is placed over a rigid frame and a piston. The end of the frame and the end of the cylinder are aligned so that the cylinder and the frame form a vertical cylinder. As soon as the piston is dropped, it pushes the cylinder downward.
