The Venice Film Festival is Already Looking Good

Venice Film Festival

Introduction

We may have missed out on the Oscars earlier this month, but we’ll be able to see our favorite stars at the Venice Film Festival. This year’s lineup includes some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki. Plus, several brand-new films are debuting at the festival as well including a queer romance between two sisters (Roksanda Ilincic), a modern western (Clare V.), and one starring Katie Holmes (Altuzarrar). Here are all the reasons why you need to mark your calendar for this year’s festivities:

Daisy Ridley in Roksanda

Daisy Ridley wore a Roksanda dress to the Venice Film Festival, and it was gorgeous. The silk and wool gown featured a deep v-neckline, which perfectly reveals her collarbone and a draped skirt that makes her look longer than she is. The actress looks stunning in this elegant design she’s been wearing more sophisticated looks lately and we can only hope that she’ll continue to wear them at all times! Extend an invitation to Jodie Turner-Smith, whose departure from the Venice airport caused the Vogue team to audibly ooh and ah. Although the Gucci brand ambassador could choose from anything in Alessandro Michele’s retro-futuristic collection, the actor threw the media a surprise by donning a Casablanca suit that was the color of Italian Riviera sunsets. Turner-Smith had her Venice wardrobe planned out to high art, as evidenced by the monogrammed Gucci bag that accompanied her flawless and impossibly stylish outfit.

Riley Keough in Rebecca Vallance

  • The black and white chevron print dress is embellished with a black belt.
  • It has a thigh-high slit that can be seen as she walks down the red carpet.
  • The neckline is plunging and gives viewers an eyeful of her cleavage when she leans forward to speak to someone.

And what better way than with this amazing Versace dress?

Elizabeth Debicki in Fendi

In the film, Debicki plays a Fendi model who is so famous for her social media presence that she becomes the face of the brand. Her character wears a classic Fendi silhouette: a one-shoulder gown made of silk, with long sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline. The dress was designed by Alessandro Sartori, who also designed for Carolina Herrera and Christian Dior in 2016.

The Venice Film Festival has already announced its lineup for this year’s event, which runs from August 29th through September 7th at various locations around Venice (and elsewhere throughout Italy). This year’s theme is “Cinema” woman many movies are bingeing screened during both days of the festival as well as throughout each day’s events within those respective venues!

Sienna Miller in Valentino

The Venice Film Festival is now in full swing, and the red carpet has been full of stars. Sienna Miller was one of those stars who walked down the ramp in a beautiful Valentino dress.

The dress was part of their Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which features many other stunning looks for women like Sienna Miller to wear on their big nights out in style.
