If you’re like us, you’ve been waiting all day to see Angelina Jolie on the red carpet. The last time she was there was at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in June where she was honored for her work on First They Killed My Father. But today, she made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival!

You know, it’s always been a bit of a mystery as to why Angelina Jolie looks the way she does. The actress has always been beautiful but looks even more stunning than usual in her white gown from Angelina Jolie Collection.
The designer describes May as having “the perfect mix of elegance and playfulness,” which is a great way to describe any number of things that have nothing at all to do with fashion or beauty but they do! I mean, look at that dress: gorgeous! This is exactly what we want our celebrity idols (and everyone else) to wear every day.
First They Killed My Father
She is in the film First They Killed My Father, directed by her son Maddox. The film is based on the true story of Loung Ung, a Cambodian who was forced to become a child soldier and was tortured by the Khmer Rouge. It stars Jolie and is produced by her son Maddox Jolie-Pitt, who also directs it.
The story follows Loung’s life from when she was just 8 years old until she turned 18, as told through flashbacks about her experiences during the reign of Pol Pot in Cambodia under his leadership.
The Red Carpet
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Jolie on the red carpet. The actress is currently busy with her work and family life and has nd been working on films like First They Killed My Father and Maleficent II. Now she’s focusing her attention on humanitarian projects in Cambodia as well.
Jolie has been helping out with children who were orphaned by the Khmer Rouge regime during that nation’s civil war from 1975-1979. Their story was chronicled in Jolie’s movie Unbroken (2014).
Versace Gown and Pink Lipoic
The color of the dress was perfect for her skin tone, which is why I don’t understand why she chose to wear this particular shade instead of something else that would’ve worked better with her coloring (like gold or silver). But whatever! The important thing here is that she looked like a princess from a storybook: regal and elegant, yet still feminine and approachable. And then there’s that hair! It added height to her silhouette and made her look like an actual movie star rather than just another human being which is exactly what we want when someone walks down an aisle at their wedding ceremony.
We’re Getting all kinds of Majorca Vibes
In a white gown with a pink sash, Angelina Jolie is looking positively Majorca-esque. The red lips, the pink aliphatic and shawl (which are both from her new line of jewelry), the flower in her hair it’s all perfect for the beach.
She’s also wearing another one of her signature looks: an off-the-shoulder top covered in lace.

I’m a huge fan of Angelina Jolie’s makeup. The only thing that could make her look better is if she had some sort of face tattoo.
Her hair is also really nice, and I wish my hair was as glossy as hers!
The shoes are pretty cool too I like how they’re kind of old-fashioned but still super high-tech at the same time (and it looks like she’s wearing heels on purpose).
Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards
The last time we saw Angelina Jolie on the red carpet was in June at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards where she was being honored. Her look for that event was an elegant white gown with a sweetheart neckline and a full skirt. The dress had long sleeves made up of lace trimming, giving it an airy feel while still maintaining its simplicity. The silk chiffon material allowed it to hang loosely without looking frumpy or dowdy; however, it didn’t lose its shape throughout its wearing!
I hope this trend continues into next year because I want more dresses like this one!
